The Georgia Prime is a professional basketball team based in Conyers, Georgia, set to debut in the American Basketball Association (ABA) in the upcoming 2025–2026 season. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Conyers, introducing high-level basketball to the city and enriching the local sports landscape.

 

Previously, a team named Georgia Prime competed in the Universal Basketball Association (UBA), achieving notable success, including a championship victory in 2014 and runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2015. However, the current Georgia Prime team is a new entity, distinct from the former UBA team, and is not affiliated with it. The ABA announced the addition of the Georgia Prime, located in Conyers, GA, as part of its league expansion, with plans to begin play in November 2025.   

 

The Georgia Prime aims to provide a platform for talented athletes to showcase their skills and pursue professional careers, while also engaging with the community through outreach programs and youth development initiatives.
